Compassionate Help Navigating Medicare

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, I have had the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and providers. I have seen firsthand how confusing Medicare can be, and that experience led me to this role where my focus is helping individuals better understand how Medicare works and what types of coverage may be available.
Whether you are turning 65, planning for retirement, or simply looking to learn more about Medicare, I provide personalized, no-cost educational guidance to help you feel informed and supported. I am happy to be a resource for you or someone you care about.

We help individuals who are new to Medicare, already enrolled, or considering a change in coverage. Whether you’re turning 65, retiring, or reviewing your current plan, we provide clear guidance so you can make confident Medicare decisions.

An independent broker is not tied to one insurance company. We help compare Medicare options from multiple carriers so you can choose coverage that fits your needs.

Medicare is the U.S. federal health insurance program covering hospital stays, doctor visits, and prescription drugs through different "Parts,".
Medicare offers two primary coverage paths:
Option 1
Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
which can be paired with a Medicare Supplement / Medigap and Part D plan
Option 2
Medicare Advantage
(Part C) is an all-in-one option through private insurance companies that replaces Original Medicare and typically includes prescription drug coverage and extra benefits.

Medicare Part A helps cover your inpatient care in hospitals, critical access hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities (not custodial or long-term care). It also helps cover hospice care and some home health care. You must meet certain conditions to get these benefits. Most people don't have to pay a monthly payment, called a premium, for Part A. This is because they or a spouse paid Medicare taxes while they were working. If you (or your spouse) didn't pay Medicare taxes while you worked and you are age 65 or older, you may be able to buy Part A.

Medicare Part B helps cover medical services like doctors' services, outpatient care, and other medical services that Part A doesn't cover. Part B is optional. Part B helps pay for covered medical services and items when they are medically necessary. Part B also covers some preventive services like exams, lab tests, and screening shots to help prevent, find, or manage a medical problem. Most people pay a monthly premium for Part B. The exact premium depends on your income level.

Medigap plans work with Original Medicare to help cover out-of-pocket costs like deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments. You keep your Original Medicare card and can see any doctor who accepts Medicare. Medigap does not include prescription drug coverage (Part D).

Medicare Advantage plans combine your Medicare Part A and B coverage and often include extra benefits like prescription drugs, vision, or dental. Coverage is usually provided through a network of doctors, and most plans include Part D for medications.

Part D plans help cover prescription medications. They can be purchased separately or are often included with Medicare Advantage plans. Coverage varies by plan and pharmacy.
